About the Role
•. Develop and execute the organisation's AI strategy, aligning it with business goals and objectives.
• Lead and manage a team of AI professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to foster their professional growth.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities for integrating AI technologies across the organisation, including machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and predictive analytics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements, and translate them into AI initiatives that drive business value.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of AI models and systems, ensuring they meet high-quality standards and are scalable and efficient.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI technologies and industry trends, and provide thought leadership to guide the organisation's AI roadmap.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and academic institutions to foster innovation and leverage external expertise.
• Ensure compliance with relevant data protection and privacy regulations in all AI initiatives.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of AI solutions, measure their impact, and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
An advanced degree (masters or PHD) in artificial intelligence, machine learning or a related field.
Demonstrable experience (8 years minimum) in AI research, development and implementation with a track record of leading.
Experieince in leading large AI teams in a corporate or reasearch environment
In depth knowledge of AI technologies, including machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and data analytics.
Experience with AI frameworks and tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
Publications in relevant AI or machine learning journals.
Familiarity with cloud platforms and services, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and their AI-related offerings.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, research, and emerging technologies in the field of AI.
